I thought we banned you from there........lol
Im going to have to talk to larry and ralph tomorrow about this....
By the way tank looks great

Finally! I got a chance to fit the doors for the canopy! I was delayed when I snapped my 1/4" router bit while mitering the frame pieces. Never had that happen before! Here they are just set in place. They still need to be stained.

Here's the RBTA I picked up from Aquastudio. It really sweet lookinig! But the clowns still have not discovered it yet!

The fish are really settled in and enjoying their new home. The flame really damaged one of its pect fins but as you can see here its healed up perfectly.

Here's an end view

Thanks Jim!

I'am really very happy with how the acrylic stands are working out. The fish can dart into a hole and pop out anywhere! I may rearrange a bit to lower the overall hieght as me corals are bleaching slightly under the Orphek LEDs

Thanks Sunny!

Now that I'm working in Sayreville, I have to stop by and check out your system some day, and maybe grab some frags!

You are very welcome to come any time Bax, just give me a shout. It has been a while..

Looking real good Bax! You going to add sand to your system?

Thanks Tristin !Nope! No sand. Not in the DT. As I finish the trim on the stand you will not see the acrylic stand the rock rests on. I will be establishing a fuge with sand very soon. Down the line I may add an RDSB as bio load increases.

When I added the RBTA it was attached to a rock. I'd hopped to coax it off but the nem had other plans. So it went in still attached to the rock. I've never QT'd a nem before just drip acclimate and in. Well, shoulda QT'd the nem and the rock. The rock brought ich into my DT. And now i am battling ich!

My own fault! Should have QT'd the nem and rock I am so ticked at myself for this blunder!

I've been feed garlic soaked foods and vitamins. I have UV & O3 that I've been intending to set up so I will try to get that done today.

Try Dr.G's Medicated Fish food as well. You can buy it at Absolutely Fish. Soak it heavily in selcon and garlic before feeding to get the fish to eat it. Also feed with PH's off and make sure all the fish eat it. It will poision their blood and subsequently teh ich. Ich should drop off in a day or so but not reattach and any trophonts that do attach will die. Any inverts that eat the food may perish.

I'll look into it, sounds rough on the inverts! After my experience with using poison to beat AEFWs I am a bit reserved about using toxins, but that said I did beat AEFWs and managed to keep nearly all my varieties of SPS.

I'm thinking about just keeping it contained untill I can trap out the flame angel and tangs to treat outside the DT. Although I guess that really wont resolve anyhting as I'll never get all the fish out. The Orchids are simply uncatchable without a complete teardown!:sour:

Tell me about it. I sometimes feel it is about time I wrote a book "My battle with ich - From Monroe to Ichisthan" - LOL

I'd buy that book :).

What gets me also is how large of volume you have too, you'd think the fish would be able to beat it easier or not show symptoms, but NOOOOOO nature likes to screw us!

Tomorrow my kole eye yellow tang comes out of 3 weeks of copper treatment woohoo.

3 weeks of copper treatment will do nothing. If you want to treat, then do it for at least 6 weeks or don't even waste your time.
Now even after 6 weeks there are no guarantees :(, but 3 is just not enough.
