Plate Coral in a BB tank?

Does anyone have experience keeping a plate coral in a bare bottom tank? Ive been looking at them online and think they are pretty cool. Not sure if I could keep one tho...

They sit on the glass in our frag tanks all the time. No issues with them being on bare bottom or even on our eggcrate. If you're going to the swap, swing by the booth. I've got quite a few coming up there including some incredible Heliofungias.

I'm actually thinking of a short tentacle plate. I a little worried of the longer tentacles stinging surrounding coral. Let's see if I can talk the wife into another swap..

i would keep it in the sand bed. being on rock or glass can damage the tissue on the bottom of the plate when it expands can just lead to bigger problems.
