MTC Procal calcium reactor

Hello
I need some help with the MTC Procal reactor. I notice that I have drops coming out from the red line and the green line

If I am not mistaken the green line is what delivers the effluent from the two chambers. The red line is meant to release pressure?

I am currently running at 45 bubbles per minute
My calcium is 470
Mag is now up to 1377
Alk is 10.5

My goal is to get the mag up to 1500 and alk down to 8-9

I am not one hundred percent sure how to adjust bubble rate. (Reactor was set up for me) I imagine I would dial back the C02

Any info is appreciated.

There should be a little needle wheel kind of underneath the regulator. That is what adjusts the bubble rate.

The open end of the red line needs to be elevated high enough so no fluid can be emitted. In my case I usually tack it up on the wall at about 6' over thebae of the reactor

Thanks Baxreefs,

Would you be able to explain the purpose of the red line? Is this a pressure release only for air?

It's a vent. It exhausts air that gets trapped in your main chamber. I find it takes a few days of running new media to get it all out. This is true even when I presoak my media in RO water for a day or so. There's lots of air in the bones or the kitty litter looking stuff.

There's a float in there to shut the vent

There's no better Ca Rx than the ProCal several comperable but not better enjoy it!
