another stand build

so what do you guys think? should I skin it with ply wood or something?

maybe some center braces?

it's 2x6 on top and rest of it is 2x4

for a 125 I'm going to reseal. not leaking just kind of ugly in a few spots

I think you’re good with the 2x6 top rail no need for a center brace. If you’re worried then cut the king studs to the length of the jack studs and double up the 2x6’s. Then glue and screw them together. Do that and it never going to bow.

Looks good! Here’s an idea try wrapping it in pallet wood if you like that look. This is what I did for mine to give you a idea.

so I'm unhappy with the stand. one of my joints wasn't perfect and I added shims under the plywood but I'm guessing the weight of the tank is going to crush the plywood in weak spots so I'm going to add some foam board even though it's a rimmed tank. I saw a decent piece at home Depot for like 15 and I have to go back anyway to grasp some pvc and fittings.

How you going to go about resealing it? are you just going to cut old sealant out and reapply or disassembled tank and reseal. iam asking because I have a tank that the seal is good a d doesn't leak but the edges has gotten beaten up by scrapers over time and I would like to reseal it myself.
