Take a look at my tale of the tank- Chris P's 75 new-I've learned from my mistakes- the 75 is my 4rth- but the same width as my 40b, just higher- I tweaked the filter a bit since I took the pics- not dimension wise- just made shelves for different stuff

Ideally, an in tank sump along the back of the tank is best if you have access and want to pay the extra for the acrylic- a member has a large piece for free that lives in your area- I can find him if you want- the back sump wouldn't take anything away from the tank visually and give you the option to have a center overfllow and 2 return pumps- I wanted to do that with the 75- just didn't work out- pm me if you want

Yeh if you could! I’d love to make that addition to the new tank Im getting. It’ll definitely free up some space underneath the tank as well as minimizing wires and all. I’d really appreciate it :)

@rrspike spike had a large piece of black acrylic for free a while back- contact him-pm me if you want to talk about the sump
