Amphipods

I have a bunch of rocks in my 40 which I'm shutting down that are full of amphipods. Is there any way to 'harvest' them and transfer them to my 75g- I don't have room to just move some of the rocks, they are too big

You can try putting a "pod motel" into the 40 for a couple days and see how many move in. What has worked very good for me as a pod motel is what I call a bath scrunchy.....looks like this and cost a couple bucks.

Maybe putting some flake food in the scrunchy to see if it helps draw in the pods.

I see them in the dollar store, or do the ones from 'The Body Shop' work better LOL

So, I tried several methods of harvesting the pods from the huge piece of blue ridge coral in the 40, to no avail- when I turn on the lights there are tons all over it, so I just went ahead and took the coral and put in the 75 for the night- there were a dozen or so adults that escaped in the move, but I sucked those suckers up with a syringe and put them in the tank too-update to come tomorrow, or tomorrow night
