Not much of an update.
Had it 3rd coral death. A new rock nem melted within a week. The other one I got with it is doing just fine. The other one i got awhile ago is doing still doing well.
Bought a few mushroom corals, I seem to like mushrooms a lot.

I installed a icecap co2 scrubber Monday night. So far, my high of 8.05 has gone to 8.2.

I also organized majority of the wires to look more neat. What a pain that was. I unplugged each thing one at a time a rerouted it.

Not much to update.
I've bought more corals & have a few more coming this Thursday from Pieces of the Ocean.
Bought a peppermint shrimp in hopes of it eating aiptasia. I've been using aiptasia x but I can't keep up LOL.
Also bought a midas blenny. Its currently in QT. My first time ever running a QT. He's eating & swimming around so that's good.
Also noticed bubble algae that I've been sucking up. Haven't tested my phosphates but my nitrates are 6.

Going to start dosing kalk. I bought a
Kamoer FX-STP2 & won an Avast k1 stirrer on ebay today. The whole process still confuses me but I'm still researching.

Moved the midas blenny intonthe tank today. The tailspot and him have some beef.. Hopefully they work it out.

Watching my alk to see how much I have to dose.

It's been awhile since I've posted!

Not much going on. The midas worked out. I had a blackcap basslet in QT and it died a few days in. Someone pointed out I had flatworms so I picked up a 6line last week. Ironically, its the midas blenny that's the bully. The 6line seems to be a model citizen. I didnt QT, so fingers crossed.

Sent out an ATi ICP test, so im waiting on those results. My Alk is super low, have brown algae on my sand & some bubble algae. Im pretty positive I need a bigger CUC.

Oh! I picked up an tuxedo urchin! That little guy does work! Hasn't picked up any corals yet.

Went to reefapoolza for the first time ever. I was so overwhelmed and like a kid in a candy store. I picked up a few corals, pitho crabs, art and some other things. I can't wait to go back next year

Anyway, long blab. Here are some pictures I just took at peak intensity. Things are pissed because I was rearranging corals

Lol, she was with me picking them out!

Yeah, it definitely helps!
Keeps me between 8.0-8.3. I hit 8.3ish for first time ever a few weeks ago because we had the windows open for few days

Mine is like 7.2 to 7.8 and I'm rechecking tomorrow with a second test kit. My ph probe may just be broke. Thinking about grabbing a scrubber though after seeing your results

Yeah, I doubt its 7.2! That seems really low!

And here is a video I just captured. I picked up some pods from dinkin @ reefapoolza yesterday. Our wrasse and tailspot seem to be friends hunting together

These pitho crabs are funny. I threw in an algae wafer and they all emerged from the sand.

I got an ICP test done a few weeks ago and my alk/iodine is low. I've been dosing red sea alkalinity and have raised my alk from 6.0 to 8.5. I also dosed redasea iodine, just 1ml because I dont have a test for it.

Still have bubble algae popping up.
I haven't seen the nudi's since putting them in the tank. I dont know if the wrasse ate them or not. However, either the nudis have been eating the aptasia or the peppermint has or both have lol. I can only see two in the tank right now and ill get them with aiptasia x later. Their used to be a ton behind this rock and theyre all gone.

I used to have a jawbreaker mushroom & another mushroom moved and covered it a few weeks ago. I'm pretty sure that mushroom is now dead lol. Of course, it would be the expensive mushroom that it would cover . The orange mushroom to the left in the pictures covered the jawbreaker. The orange mushroom also has produced about 5 babies in the past like 2 months

Few small updates;
Hydros launch cooked itself the other week from a storm surge. I had it on a surge protector but it was useless. Unfortunately, power surges aren't covered under warranty. They gave me a discount on a new one so it should arrive next week. I had in the interm bought an hydros XP8 & a cyberpower 1000watt UPS. I was meaning to get an XP8 but this pushed me faster to get one

Picked up a spotted mandarin from reefco yesterday. I've read they might eat flatworms so here's hoping.

Looking good Kevin, sorry again about the Hydros.

Have you thought of a small foxface for the bubble algae? my one spot got rid of every bit of it that was within reach.

I have flatworms all over my refugium but they have never made it or survived in my display. I have a mccosker wrasse and a pair of ornate leopard wrasses in the display and there is nothing but in my refugium (50 gallons water volume) i have a 6 line and a yellow banded possum wrasse and they don't make a dent. I'm hesitant to use flatworm exit but I think thats the next step for me. fortunately I can isolate the refugium, treat and do a massive water change without disturbing the display, I've had some sketchy experiences with that product because of how efficiently it kills the flatworms.
