So here we go again, after a few years without seeing this, it’s here…
I think the reason is that I change 1/3 of my rock work probably a month back.
I also noticed that I’m getting green algae everywhere…
So I saw a video of somebody recommending this product
(. )
Red Slime Remover
UltraLife Reef Products
So if anyone has experience with it, or heard about itplease let me know. What was your experience or what do you hear about it? Is it good? Is it better than Chemiclean?
All information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I hate antibiotic slime removers. IME they reset the biome of your reef and you’ll just get the slime again. A lot of people that I known swear by the topic Marin cyo control. Supposedly it adds the bacteria that out competes the cyano.

Besides this, if your nitrates are running near 0, raising them to 10ppm and maintaining there with doses of nitrate additive (I like esv) works wonders.

I started to get it lately. My phosphates are .1 and nitrates 4.2. I also have dinos, flatworms & bubble algae. Im kinda confused as to why LOL. My tank is a year old, but I upgraded it in Feb.
I literally just ordered KZ coral snow to possibly help with cyano. I've been dosing microbacter 7 as well..
I suppose doesn't help right now that i have 1 mp40 off because I have velvet nudi branches in the tank.

The Slime away was involved in my CRASH a few years back. It was more than just the slime away, but i would try and avoid it...

I use chemiclean, but run a bubbler when I do for extra oxygenation.

I can’t take credit for this, but this is what I use for Cyano

Coral Snow

2.5 teaspoons calcium carbonate to 20.5 ounces (600 ml) of water for 130 gallons

Add 1.5 tsp of Reef Roids to mixture

Add 3 capfuls of Microbacter 7

Dose once a week

500 ml solution is 475 RODI and 10 level tablespoons of calcium carbonate

Shake let sit for 2 hours

Dose is 5ml solution per 50 gallons water
Turn off pump and skimmer for
30 minutes then turn all on
Turkey baster to suspend particles

To assist with cyano add Microbacter 7 as per their instructions into coralsnow

10 drops per 5 ml of solution

Which is 30 drops(1.5ml)

for 15 ml of solution.

A small attempt at humor: "I also have dinos, flatworms & bubble algae. Im kinda confused as to why LOL." - because you added dinos, Flatworms and bubble algae to the tank. :)

I thought about something similar, but was wondering if it will impact Microbacter 7. I mix when I doze.
