I ended up adding chemiclean I already had it and took care of it in two days

You didn't do it earlier for the same reason as the rest of us. You feel like you've done something wrong and are now taking the easy way out and feel guilty. I've gotten over this
. It also means at least 3 large water changes and still waiting a week or so for the skimmer to get back to running correctly. Running a bag of Chemipure as recommended on their website really helps speed up the process.
Updated my red slime. Coral snow and Microbacter 7 mix is not working for me. Still getting the slime on my sandbed and rocks. I blow it off suck it up and after water change use the coral snow. It has not worked. May resort to chemiclean as well since I have it in my cabinet. I know most are against chemicals, but when I had hair algae really bad everything failed so I used Vibrant as a last resort and it worked! I wish I would have done that first it was a quick easy treatment and haven’t had Hair algae since
