Hey guys anyone here running Orphek or3 or or4 bars i need some advice on them

I’m planning to run 3-4 bars over my 72x24x30 tank
2 blue plus
1-2 reef day plus
60 inch ones with the osix controller
Wonder if they’ll be enough for my system

You will likely want 4 minimum, but depending on what you want to grow, may need more.

Damn are they that weak that 4 won’t be enough?

I would never say they are weak. But you are either running a 30" wide tank, or a 30" deep tank, one way or another, it's a big tank.

Also what I mentioned, it depends on what you are trying to grow. I have a 72x24, I am running 3 XR30s and 2 Quantas (pretty similar to Orpheks).

30 wide 24 deep i was planning to run 4 Orphek or4 bars 2 blue 2 reef day without adding additional lights mostly soft leathers lps torches and hammers mostly

I use quanta bars. 4 those would grow almost anything. I have 3 on my 3 foot by 3 foot tank. I keep the front desk so I don't have to clean the glass so if I wanted the whole area I'd go 4.

Problem with the quanta bars is you can’t really have a full schedule unless you get like switches and stuff right?

You can with an apex for example. Need 12v control.

They are dimmable. And I control the lights with smart sockets. But I think I remember reading on their website they can. Reach out to them. It's over dude, Luca. Great customer service. Great light's, great spectrum, killer price. I just can't justify too many other lights at this point. Next option would be the reefi Uno's. Another fantastic light

Yah thd only issue i have with quanta is the controllability gotta order some switch to dim them gotta do it all manually nothing has a schedule seems like a basic t5 on and off which isn’t the best these days
