A 70 watt halide should be good for a 10 gallon tank. What are you planning on keeping?

I am building a DIY stand for a nano. I will post pics soon. It is tremendously overbuilt, but I would rather err on the side of caution.

Really nice work. I like the idea of being able to stand on the perimeter to reach intothe tank.

One thing though. It looks like they are relying wholly on the brackets for support. I would drive screws though the horizontals.

A buddy of mine is an engineer and he reviewed the stand that I am building and he told me it would hold over 1000 pound. My stand is overbuilt. This one could support a car. Dual 2x4's will create a tremendous amount of strength. Propably overkill.

You really do not need to filter a tank this small. You can use the natural method and just use water changes to remove the dissolved organic waste. The key is lighting and water movement. What are you using for lighting?

I have heard a lot of peole say that the NJ1200 creates a lot more heat than you want. I would watch this closely. I have heard that others have had success with the MJ 900. I have a Biocube 14 that has been running for about a month and the temp has been 79 with good flow with the stock pump.

Where did you get your liverock. Very nice.

I really like it for the simplicity and size. Reefernets...I cannot believe you did not set it up yet. That is a reall ynice little setup. My LSF has one on the counter.

Good points Bob. I have to say that the prices at AC are much better. I also like the fact that you can go in there and look at tanks (which you cannot do at ILC) and their drygoods section is way better. Plus, the fishroom is really huge compared to any other store in this immediate area.

Cool. Thanks for the replies. Where is you LSF? I go to The aquarium center in blackwood. Very good stock and prices. I heard that The hidden reef on the PA side should have its fish room back open by April.
