I live in Burlington and I'm looking for anyone with some $5,10 frags that'd like to sell. I'm off on Monday/Tuesdays for arranged pick ups. Please let me know what you have. I'm looking for some small SPS frags, Zoas, Acans, Blasto......Just LMK what you have. Thanks Joe
Ive benn running it this morning again trying to make SOME water for a WC today. TDS coming out is now down to 4. I'll be using this on my fresh water tank. Wont bother making SW with this one. I was running one of these for the longest and always had good results with them and would have stuck...
Im not sure what the presure is going into the system, this 75GPS BRS unit didn't come with one. The book that came with the unit says it's a 4:1 ratio of waste to good water. So it would make sense seeing that the black line is a nice constant flow and the blue line is on/off, not steady at...
Anyone lookin to buy a brand new RODI system LMK I got one for sale!!! 4:1 ratio is insane!!! and I can't afford to buy a 2nd membrane and pump to make it work. What a waste of $150.
Well even with the membrane hooked up and having this system running for 45 minutes Im still getting a 5 TDS coming out. How the hell is that possible? Now it's reading 15-22TDS coming out!!! Going in is steady at 87.
I dont want to go DI only now that I have the RO/DI. I just can't see running this system with all the waste water it produces. So Im going to take the membrane out and keep track of how many gallons I'm able to make before everything gets exhausted. If I can get a good amount of gallons out of...
Yeah that's what Im finding out about now. This next step is going to cost at least $175+ between a pump and another membrane kit. Here are my thoughts on this. Before this RO/D system,I I was simply running a DI only system, one of those set-ups that have about 3in of carbon, 3 filter pads and...
Quit question, just set up my new system this morning and seems Im getting a 3/1 ratio of waste water to good water. Was wondering if I could use a "T" harness and simply loop my membrane waste water into the blue line going to the DI section so Im not wasting anything. Now I do understand by...
I bought my first plate coral there and some ricordia. But all there prices are way too expensive and for no reason. Now I go to the fish factory where they usually have good deals in there $10,15, and 20 sections.
I can't wait to see what impact it has on the tank!!! If thats really is the case with the Hidden Reef then I should see a HUGE improvement in just about everything with the tank then huh?
Was told by someone working at the Hidden Reef that they allow there RODI to get to 14TDS before they swap filters. Since finding that out, I dont buy water anymore, I'll make it. Plus I just got my new BRS 4 stage, 75GPD RODI system yesterday. Can't wait to put it to use.
On my 33L it was my first set-up with a sump. Having 2 drains and only one return i was told to get a pump that'll do at least 700GPH. So I bought this Odyssea rated at 712GPH and even at 3 1/2-4ft of lift I still had to dial it down alot. I dont think there is anything wrong with no name pumps...
I use to buy my RODI water from The Hidden Reef, at $.50 a gallon and only having a 10G tank at the time it wasn't bad. But once I upgraded to my 33L with 20L sump it was costing too much and I found I was making trips every week. At that point I couldn't afford a RODI system but instead I...
But I tell you what is really nice though, my wife got us tickets to go to the Camden Aquarium for New Years. It's from 5-8:30 and should be a great time.
