While I plan my 300 gallon tank, I am thinking of getting a smaller tank for my office for a wartskin angler. I was looking at a 14 or 29g biocube. Has anyone had any good experiences with these tanks?
WOW, the Orpheks are really nice lights. I don't mind spending the money for a quality product. I had a 45 Gallon that was plagued by problems because I went the cheap route and after moving home while I had my house built, I gave the fish to a family friend, sold the equipment and swore to...
The tank I want designed will be approx 31" deep. I heard so many mixed reviews on LED lights and I am a little scared to invest because I have read a lot of mixed reviews.
Now that I have a lot of calls to make about having a tank built thanks to all your recommendations, I am now looking into lighting options. other than the price, does anyone have any feedback on LED lighting fixtures? Right now, I am looking into housing a lot of smaller fish in a 300G with SPS...
This is my kind of thread! I am a big fan of Belgian Whites and German Weiss. A few of my favorites are Franziskaner, Allagash White, Hackkor Pskorr, Haufenbraue, Sam Adam's Cherry Wheat and when I need a heavier breakfast beer, a Stoudt's Fat Dog can't be beat.
wow thanks for all the feedback guys! I think I am going to shop around with some of the companies in NJ to see how their pricing is. I know I will pay more, but I rather establish a relationship with a local vendor than just be another customer with glasscages.com. After searching around I...
I am looking for a 300G starphire glass rectangle tank, nothing too exotic. What companies in NJ make tanks? The terrariums I purchased from glasscages.com were nice, but aquariums are a different beast and I would love to find someone more local if it's possible. The reef ready set up I was...
Now that I have FINALLY bought a house and settled in. I am looking into putting a 300 gallon tank in my basement and there is a company that I used to buy terrariums from that makes custom glass aquariums now. Has anyone ever purchased or heard anything good or bad about www.glasscages.com ?
Well I have two tanks and I am looking to dismantle my larger tank until I buy a house and get settled in. I have 70lbs of LR in this tank and I am curious as to whether or not I could bleach/water nuke the rock, dry it and dry store it until I am ready to use it again. I know the culture will...
I am a huge fan of the Aqua C remora with Mag 12 pump. It is a solid low maintenance solution and it works a ton better than the redsea priszm I had *cringe*. I have mine with a drain tube that dumps into a bucket under my tank too.
I recently had an issue with a neon dotty back and luring him to the top with a new food (mysis shrimp) worked wonders. I was able to snag him after a few tries and off to a friend's tank he went :)
Interesting, but once that is mixed with my reef crystals salt, left for a day and then added to the tank, how would I be able to get an accurate reading?
I just did a DKH test on water I made this week through my RODI system which is only 2 months old and it was a 4. This explains my DKH problem.. Is it normal for new water with salt to only be 4?
I moved my own 50 gallon from a third floor condo with no elevator. It was hell, but I wanted to do it myself. When I lived in Mahwah, the LFS there had staff that did that on the side.
