Have you had problems with them taking frozen food as opposed to the live stuff? Do you remove half eaten debris to avoid a nitrate spike from decomposition?

I have a sand sifting star now who would be shrimp bait and if I do get this species, I may just get a pair. About how often would you have to feed them a starfish?
