Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I pride myself on having a parasite free system. Recently, I took in a few frags that may have had zoa nudis, anyway, I saw one and proceeded to dip the suspected Zoas. Ok, I confirmed 6 Nudis, not good. Immediately I treated the whole system with saifert flatworm exit at the recommended 4 times...
Nice, the forth one down with the red ring around the eye, I have seen that ring fade over time. Watch and see what happens to yours perhaps your feed back could help solve this.

The Furan Dips not a cure all but a good start. In my experience you can not overdose with it. It treats bacterial diseases and is affective against cyno.
Use a cup or two of tank water and toss in a full packet or capsule, mix well, toss in the affected frags and ether use a power head or blow...
Well I do believe that contacting me is not a cure for this and that further feedback from our members could be very informative.
I can appreaciat that this may seem to be a Miner emergency to our Mods but closing this thread seemed, strong, This is a newbee that needs help.

Just checked NJRC, John, whats up, did you lose my number?
Mike, I do not have all the answers, But I am persistent in researching things out.
And, Mike, not to go off subject, the pink colony is 80% open, but, puking stuff like has never been seen before. Still treating it.
Bleaching out, that's how I obtained mine, the mother colony was dieing off, just like the pics posted. I dipped the frags in Furan-2 and then lugals. it worked and the infection or whatever was causing the problem never came back.
Update, the 4 day black out did have a positive affect. A good amount is simply gone and the remaining is not looking that good. I just started raising the mag hoping that this may eradicate the remaining a alga.
Just read your thread, read this link. I have some in one tank and have been experimenting with standard cures with little success.
This is what I tried so far.
Lowering Phosphates and NO3 to undetectable levels.
Wet skimming and increased cheatoe with 24 hour lighting to decrease nutrients...

They are ether micro FEATHER DUSTERS, SPIONID WORMS or VERMITID SNAILS.
All are harmless and show that you have diversity in your tank, cutting yourself, bad, could lead to reef rash, trust me, wear gloves from now on!
