    Need NJ opinions please.

I normally post on RC, but most of them are jack-asses there. NJ reefers seem more educated anyway. The setup: ~500g One system. 210g Mixed reef (Main floor) 120g (6X20) Broodstock tanks (Basement) 50g (5X10) larval rearing tanks (Basement) Fish Room --------- 100g Refugium 60g sump 2 - MTC...

    auto feeders

I use the Rondomatic 400 as well. The thing that I like most is that if it gets gummed up some how, you only miss 1 feeding. I use it daily to feed 2X day. I went on vacation for 2 1/2 weeks last year and the only drawback was that I could only have it feed for 2 weeks at 2X day before it was...

Is this pitch to slow for my drain to my fishroom??

All of my plumbing has minimal pitch. Some parts it runs level as well. Personally I dont think 3" over 4 feet is bad. Just looked this up for house plumbing,, "A 1/4"-per-foot pitch is also used for the house drain"

    For Sale/Trade Etiquette?

The most agrivating part is that I was having a dialogue with the seller then BAM sold. Oh well. Gotta move quicker next time. >:( Is there a trick to the "Notify" on the selling forum? I notice it will send me 2 new posts then stop until I go in there and read some. Any way to customize that?

    For Sale/Trade Etiquette?

Yah.. Its that first in line thing that kills me, then a day later then there is a new post with XXXXX - SOLD! I guess there is no obligation to sell to anyone, but I always practice the PM'd order etiquette even though sometimes its a little inconvenient. Just wanted to make sure it wasnt just me.

    Neptute Conroler Owners

If I could make my own calibration fluids, I would check it monthly. All of the fluids I buy seem to expire 6 months from the time I bought it. Also, If I knew a given substance was 7.0, I would at least stick the probe in it once in a while to see what it reads.

    High pH & Procal

I don't know which salt I am on today. I think the blue bucket ???. No kalk, and last night dKH 10. I'm beginning to truely believe it is all of the house plants my wife keeps that keeps the co2 down in the house. Out of all the sites I read on pH, all of them say it is a co2 deficiency. LOL...

    High pH & Procal

Well I really didnt want to screw with the reactor and flow. I looked for alternate ideas and forund a co2 manifold. Basically a 2 way splitter. One for the reactor at 1-b/s and one for the skimmer. I rigged something up like this last night with some john guest T's and so far so good with the...

    High pH & Procal

Hey.. A little while ago I posted about directly introducing co2 into the skimmer to lower my pH. It was working fantastically. co2 on at 8.4, off at 8.35. Great. Santa was nice to me and I got a MTC Procal. It recomends 1 bubble/sec and flow of .05. Got it dead on balls accurate. I have...
