Which fish is the best choice?

Awfully few wrasse suggestions in this thread. I AM DISSAPOINT! Flasher wrasses for the win. also many great cirrhilabris choices for a tank that size.

    Thank you NJRC!

Mark, I really enjoyed your presentation, and I am a big fan of your site (I got my vodka dosing info from it). Thanks for presenting to our club!

So what did everyone get at the swap?

LOL, They can still get me though, however it would definitely have been worse were wrasses involved. As it stands, I am an incredible sucker for montipora (they get me EVERY time), but I definitely have a more serious wrasse addiction.

So what did everyone get at the swap?

****ty cell phone pictures cannot possibly do these pieces justice. The beautiful Clam and Ricordia are from Dr. Mac. The monti's are an aquaman, pokerstar, and rainbow, all from Jason Fox, and are stunning in person. The prism Favia is from frags unlimited, the giant super awesome chalice is...

Best Horror Movie of all time?

Any answer other than this is wrong. Two very creepy movies.

    Petco?

I don't know about that, but they do or did have a girl there, named Jen or Jess I think, that seems to actually care about the fish. My mom would get pissed when she went in there to get some fish, and Jen/Jess would ask her what kind of setup the fish were going into, and then tell my mom that...

    Thirty 5's Deep Blue Rimless!!

I am GluttonousGourami on MR. I'm a LPS guy too, I love me some frogspawns, hammers, Trumpets, and duncans etc. Although I am sort of moving towards prefering SPS, mostly because I love chalice, montipora, and millipora. When your new set up is ready, I can probably spare some LPS frags for you.

    Gardening - Habanero Peppers

Habanero peppers are a broad classification, basically a 'type' encompassing many hybrids, cultivars, and landraces of peppers arising from the species Capsicum chinense. In other words, there are many pepper plants with differing cultural requirements called simply 'habanero peppers'. In...

    Thirty 5's Deep Blue Rimless!!

Can you blame him though? Moderation on MR is quite oppressive-and people think RC is bad. It's like MR is a no fun zone, and the internet is always serious business!! Now back to the topic at hand. It looks like you will have a VERY nice set up! What are you planning to stock it with? Can't...

AWWW YEEAAA!! Guess I need to move that 75.

    Need fish suggestions please.

I don't think any tang (besides maybe a tomini) would do well in a tank that size. I'm an obsessive wrasse advocate/zealot, as such I'd recommend checking out many of the wonderful wrasse species in the genera Cirrhilabris, Halichoeres, & Pseudocheilinus (forgive me if I have not spelled those...

    GluttonousSolarWrasse's 120g

Hey Phil, yes the pyramids were bought as a pair, From Ocean Gallery-Brian happened to get three in, and I bought two. Later on I realized that I'd like three, so I went back to OG to get the third, but it was already gone. A little while later I got a third from another source, but it died...

    GluttonousSolarWrasse's 120g

I like them very much. They have been in place since the start of the tank now, and have done a great job. I think everything gets plenty of light, and looks great under the lights. The only drawbacks are that these lights are not prgrammable, or dimmable in any way.

    GluttonousSolarWrasse's 120g

I also just started the vodka dosing method as described in Reef Central's online magazine. The beginning dose for my tank is 0.45 mL daily for 3 days. Then the dose goes to 0.90 mL daily for for days. This completes the first week. The primary purpose of this treatment is to lower the available...

    September 2011 - POTM Contest - Winner! (howze01)

Congrats dude. R.I.P. Mr. Mandarin, this is a fitting memorial. You were a worthy and well respected adversary. Perhaps in a different life I could have called you friend.

    GluttonousSolarWrasse's 120g

Hey Phil, That is a solar wrasse in my avatar. There is tremendous diversity in solar wrasse appearance, so much so that many solar wrasse ecotypes look like different species. Bax-The psuedochromis did fight at first-I thought that my tank was big enough that they would have separate...

    GluttonousSolarWrasse's 120g

Here are some pictures as promised. These were all taken with my Droid. And George, there is a picture of Mandy for you. Mandarins were one of the fish that got me interested in reef tanks many years ago. They are such incredibly cool fish!
