How long would it take for an anemone to kill my non softy coral? I'm thinking to give up fighting him and just allow him to travel to where he wants knowing that once I allow him to get to the coral, he will hang around for a day before moving elsewhere.
Would he cause the coral to go bleach...
I'll give the flow a shot before using the turkey baster. I tried the flow earlier and it moved, but just came back to bother a coral that is attached to my live rock. It seems to be bleaching the coral.
I don't remember how the fish store got him in the bag, but he is attached to a piece of live rock now and I want to manually remove him to another spot in the tank.
How is this done? What are the downsides to doing this?
Brought a Blue Throat Trigger home the other day. His vision is great because he can see me twelve feet away and then hides. Today he only hides when I get to around 6' close to the tank.
What are the tricks/tips to get a skiddish fish to eat?
I've tried meaty pellets, dried krill, and...
Not sure what kind of anemone it is. I'll take a picture and post on flickr when the lights are on.
I got my 30gal fuge tank from Camz, I'll drop him a PM about his rosetip. Hopefully my clowns will actually hang around it this time.
Did a water test and all checked out. Mine surely isn't a...
would be nice if he would stay in a place he likes. The flow doesn't change, things don't change, but he seems to pace back and forth each day.
I put flow directly on it to get it to move.
My anemone keeps roaming all around the tank a few times a week. It bothers my corals when it does and normally I can move the coral elsewhere except for today where it is next to a coral that is attached to my LR.
How can I get the anemone to move and go elsewhere? Light tricks? Flow tricks...
I have a Euroreef ES-4 and the dolphin pump attached to it is near end of life. It doesn't start up right away, sometimes shuts off, and just isn't holding up anymore.
Is dolphin a good brand? Where can I find a replacement and what are some good brands?
I know I tend to pass over fish at the store that have a high price to them, but I am surely in favor of preservation. If none can be taken, then to me, that must mean the situation is pretty serious to do that and I'm for that too. Hopefully this will encourage breeding.
Darn...they seem like they are all over already. What caused them to form and how can I keep them from forming in the future? I just purchased a bottle of Joe's Juice.
What's the name of the sponge, so that I can read up on it?
I had no backdrop for a while, then recently put in black and thanks to the coraline algae, any bubbles between my backdrop and glass are nicely hidden.
Provided I had a reef ready tank and could hide all the inner-workings of the tank, I would prefer no backdrop and no backwall lined with...
I have this yellow like sponge deep in one rock and these paly like things growing all over in various sizes. Anyone know what they are or whether they are good or bad?
I have these two and many other new life growing in my tank now that it is no longer in the new stages.
