I believe the high capacity absorb more phosphate from the regular, but that could just be me. Let see if anyone else have anymore insight.

Algae, happens to me once or twice, if the zoas get cover and can't open they pretty much melt away. What's your phosphate level? Also try and get those slim off the sand bed suck it out with a turkey baster or syphon it out.
