    you can find refractometers on ebay for about 30$ or bring your hydrometer to a LFS or friend to calibrate it with a refractometer until you can buy one yourself...

    yea its blue but not overwhelming blue....im pretty happy with the colors so far... but i would just try 2 ati blue plus and 2 uvl super actinics....you want some actinics in there for your greens and reds

    i would do a AC500...the biggest aquaclear...that way you can put the heater in there too...or you can do a cpr fuge...you can even find a fuge on ebay for cheap... but a AC30 is kinda small and wont have much room for the chaeto to grow... you might as well slap on a phosban reactor and it will...
