I just picked up a Reef Tech LED. A lot of power and flexibility. Another unit to consider would be a Vertex, It almost puts out as much PAR as the Reef Tech.

Well if you really want a rant, how about a chart that is not 4 years old. Look at the what skimmers are talked about today, and you will see that none of them are on the list. The chart is from 2007. There isn't one cone skimmer on here either.
