I'll be mixing the water in my tank, I'll get over the sand storm :-) My tank has been running since october/november.. so its about 5 or 6 months old.. maybe I'll use all new sand.. its not much of a price difference. and It'll be nice and clean.
Once my new rock is cycled, itll be my current...
Thats exactly what I was thinking about placing rock down first. Thats how i did it in my other tank, but I just assumed.. but I've seen other sites and books put the sand in first.. so I figured I'd ask.. I'll have to look into a ups back up.. and the other ideas.. thanks a bunch!
Currently, I have a 20L and I'm upgrading to a 46 Bow.. and I have some questions.
First my new equipment list:
46 bow, glass top.
HOB CPR Refugium
2x Seio 620s
Tek T5 4x39
200 watt heater
I have 50 lbs of lr cycling in the garage right now, and I filled the tank with fresh ro/di water last...
Re: 8' X 2' X 2.5' Tank build.....my side project for Paul C.
That looks awesome! Wish I had the space/money for something like that, def keep us posted on "your" tank :-)
Excellent, I'll defintiely play more tomorrow after work. I'm moving my reef from a 20L to a 46 Bow.. so I want to get a lot of good pictures before/during/after the move, so I'll start using the flash, I imagine it will help tremendously..
Do you use the built in flash, or an external...
Thanks!
I haven't used the flash lately, I just picture it having like a mirror effect on the glass, but I suppose if you're close enough, that won't happen?
But I have a Canon Digital Rebel, the original, not the newer one.
And I had the aperture at 5.6 if I remember correctly.. I don't...
I started practicing my macro photography today.. This is the only one that I liked.. I need brighter lighting I think. At low ISO's the fish move to fast, and at high ISO's its way too grainy. I'll play more later, let me know what you think.
Im a bit north of you in Toms River, but if you want to come here, and ill drive the rest of the way i have two seats open in my car for who ever is interested. PM me
I'm not sure whats available but if I can get a 36" 4x39 T5 hood, I'd certainly order that. I'm not sure if this is just an order for bulbs and the like.
I forgot to add, eventually I plan on getting a 120 gallon (60 inch) tank once we finish redoing our floors and all of that. So, if theres anyway to not waste money be able to reuse the lights that I purchase now, that would help me out, but I have a feeling thats not going to happen. But any...
I'm no cook or anything, but I can certainly stop and pick up anything you need. Just let me know and I'll get it. Drinks or precooked foods like pizzas or anything, just let me know.
I need some lighting recommendations. I currently have two 75 watt vho's over a 20 L tank. I'm giving away my fresh water fish so that I can move this tank to a 46g bow front (i believe to be about 36long x 12 deep x 20high) I currently keep a frogspawn, candy cane, zoas, gsp, mushrooms and what...
