Got my tank cycled and running again after Sandy's wrath and I'm looking for a frag of a torch coral and a Red Bubble Tip Anemone. If you have one that you willing to frag please PM me. Thanks.

I lost my reef tank during the hurricane. I need to do a few large water changes. Does anyone have a 50g barrel I can borrow for the weekend to mix fresh SW?
Thanks,
mike
I have a couple of questions about cooking the LR. When I remove the rock from the display tanks, what do I do with water that's in the display tank? Do I run the recirculation pump and the skimmer and keep that water moving? Also some of my LR has mojamos. Will cooking the rock kill the mojamo?
That's my feeling as well. As much as I love my tank and it kills me to see it this way, you have to check priorities. Folks lost their homes, and some there lives. If loosing some fish is the worst that happened to me, I'm grateful.
My tank is totally gone. I still can't believe it. I have a generator, but couldn't run it continuously because of the gas shortage. So painful to see years of hard work perish. I'm not going to leave the hobby, but I will be going FOWLR next time. This give me some time now to redo a few things...
Hate to hear that others had problems with Red Sea, but also glad I'm not alone. Kicking myself for buying that bucket and can't even remember why I switched salts in the first place.
Pretty much lost all of my SPS in my tank. Don't know what happened everything started dieing off and then I go cyano and now I have hair algea. On the bright side, fish are doing great. I swear this all started when I switched to Red Sea Coral Pro salt. I'n not sure what to do. I'm thinking of...
This weekend my Yellow Tang that I've had for 6 years died. I noticed over the last several weeks that it was eating but getting thinner. Last week I noticed it wasn't eating at all and hiding in the back of the tank. I guess 6 years is a pretty good run.
Over the past week or so, I noticed some problems with my SPS. Some of the corals have a brown, algea tip and 1 or 2 others are bleaching while others are completly perfect. I'm also having issues with having to clean the tank glass every other day. I don't know what's up. The only thing I've...
I've built all my stands including my current 180 using 2x4s. 2x4s are surprisingly strong. Just think of your house. The walls are 2x4s and depending on your style of house, they are supporting an upper floor plus a roof not to mention any weight of snow in the winter. I'm sure you'll be fine...
