Pink bubble on bottom of filefish

Hello... I'll do my best to describe this. I just fed the fish about two hours ago. It was frozen Hikari krill and mysis shrimp. I had to put extra in there, trying to get the box fish to eat. He's slow to eat and the others in the tank eat everything first. My filefish seemed fine before...

    sbelyo's 120 build

I'm back.... Still have the 20 nano running. It's now 7 years old and is fish only at the moment. I need to find coral that the file fish won't eat. I'm reviving this because I want to get my 120 up and running. It's empty and in the basement currently. I'll need to locate a stand first...

    sbelyo's 120 build

I thought the 1500 was the better choice, but I wasn't sure. I'd like to go with two returns. Should I use 1/2" or 3/4? For a pump I was thinking in sump submersible and efficient. Any reccomendations? Can you tell me what product mnat is refering to?

    sbelyo's 120 build

Hello All... I have decided to upgrade from a 20L nano. I'm guessing this will take at least a year to complete while I gather equipment, advice, and of course knowledge. The tank is an AGA 120 Gal 48x24x24 it's roughly 10 years onld and has sat in the basement with no water (I'm guessing...

My tank crashed big time while I was away, I'm sad

thanks, I'm just glad to have it back. I was really bummed but I never wanted to quit. I just miss my other clowns. I rasied them from about 3/4" and my daughter could hand feed them

My tank crashed big time while I was away, I'm sad

I used to know how much by heart, but I got thrown off when I was switching salts. By the time I was all the way on Red Sea coral pro the tank was crashing. I now have figured out it's 2 and 1/2 level cups to get to 1.025 with a home depot bucket filled to roughly 1.5" from the top

Need a good suggestion for a stand for a 120 Gal

I think I might try to find a custom builder. I definitely don't want to build it myself. I'm tired of putting stuff together. I have like $1K work of parts to build a calss a ballanced headphone amp that have been sitting for over a year. Everytime I think about starting it the mood quickly...

My tank crashed big time while I was away, I'm sad

Yeah, that was a tough one. Now I know not to trust hydrometers and always leave the AC on when on vacation. The heat was the final blow. The salinity is what made me start loosing corals. Definitely looks like I've got the tank back. I have to say it's looking better each day. Once my...

Need a good suggestion for a stand for a 120 Gal

I need a good suggestion for a stand. I have an AGA 120 that I will use for a build in the future and I want to know my options for furniture. 1. I have no wood working skills or wood working tools 2. I like the glasscages.com style with the option for a side door so I can slide the sump in...

My tank crashed big time while I was away, I'm sad

Just to let everyone know, the tank is back on track. Refractometer is calibrated and I'm slowly bringing the water up to 1.025 I added a couple of snails at first and they survived. A week later I added a maroon clown, he's doing fine. This past Friday I added another maroon clown and a...
