heres the sump . . its a 15g high tank. water comes in, through a filter sock, into the fuge, over to the Octopus NW-110 skimmer and back to the tank. i occasionally and some Kent carbon passively in to the sump, between baffles.

+1 for the Aqua C Remora. never used one myself but ive heard good things. i used a Seaclone when i first started on my 29g. yeah, dont get that one.

when i removed my bio-balls, i did so over the course of about a week. then in the spot they were, put a ball of cheato. worked out well for me.

i work at the petco in Cherry Hill, we do sell premade saltwater. its like $5 for 5 gallons.
