I have not had any heat issues with my tank so far. My canopy is open so that might help I'm also running 2x4" icecap fans that actually drops my temperature to by 1 degree when lights are on. I will see how this works out on my new closed canopy.

Icecap retro kit. I'm also doing a 120g. I'll be using 8xt5 with 2x660 icecap ballast that will overdrive bulbs from 54w to 80w. I personally think that if you pick up the parts "end caps, standoffs, reflectors, ballast" separately is cheaper than the icecap retro kit.

Well I'm not sure what brands they were but I think they were AGA. I was also thinking it might be too good to be true and if they do have 180g tanks for that price on their anniversary sale it might be only one. That's why I was wondering if is worth the drive and waiting till next month.

Re: Jasonanatal's 120 gallon "Natural Simplicity" Reef Aquarium. You should really do some reading on neozeo or zeovit methods. A lot of people are having great success with them, I personally started using neozeo without the stones. Do you use any phosphate remover?

Sounds like your water level is too high. Take a look in your manual and look for what is the proper water level for your skimmer operation.
