For those coming tomorrow.... No need for potato salad, chips and salsa. Also. Herbie and I had a pre meeting meeting as he thought it was today.. He, will be back tomorrow (to drink the rest of my good beer) so we can all thank him in person because saying that he was beyond generous with...
LOL.. My wife is "cool bodied". in the summer she can deal with the 80s without ac while i like 75 and in the winter the heat is blasting and she sleeps in sweatpnats and a hoody!. Reefers nightmare.
Real "germicidal" is supposed to be 8.25% sodium hypochlorite . Most of the regular household you buy is 5.25% or below. It's just more concentrated. I'm always hunting for the 8.25 as I us it to chlorinate the little 12ft intex pool I put up for the kids in the summer. For cleaning filter socks...
Yeah. It creeps up on you. I keep my ac on at around 76/78 during the day during the summer because of the dog. I try to hold of as long as possible. Usually my Duncan colony is my indicator that's it either time to get a sump fan going or crank the ac. As soon as my tanks gets to 80 a few days...
Rob. That looks great I love the more open looks like this. The great thing is you have the space to go up if you want. Which sand did you use? Seafloor Special. I really like that stuff. Right now i have fiji pink but im contemplating getting a gyre and i know it will blow that stuff around all...
Wow. That a big improvement. When I first moved in I had my well completely serviced. It was pretty impressive when they fire high pressure water down the well head. I have a smaller version of old faithful in my backyard.

Looking good rob. Sorry I couldn't make it over to help. This is going to look awesome when you get the scape finished and the lighting up. It defiantly fills the space better than the 90. I'm definitely going 180 after the addition.

Herb,
As always you're very generous. I think this could be a great idea. I hadn't even thought about frags yet. I can pull a few things together from my tank. If we can get some more zoas/shrooms/lps that would good.
id go with the 180. My cube is 24 deep and getting stuff on the sand bed is a pita some times. I built my stand low also. Rim of the tank is armpit height and im 6'1". I just dont think its worth the hassle for the extra 40 gallons. Now, if you look at the dimensions of the marineland DD...
Well the frag tank is almost cycle. Picked up a tunze skimmer for the sump and order some nice acrylic frag racks of eBay. In other news. I had a bout of red bugs in the main tank. Put it to them with some interceptor and seem to have nailed them. Just goes to show even when you dip the heck out...
