    Also if you do decide to replace them with clear acrylic, make sure the tank is empty or that you attach the clear ones before removing the black ones. Just to be safe I would ALSO call perfecto.

    It is catunis yuma!!! They can live a long time outside the water, and usually rub against your hand when being fed. LOL

    I use just gloss black spray paint from walmart, a couple of coats and it seems to be just fine and quite a hard finish.

    Skimmer problem

    Now I'm not an expert or anything close but... Isn't the pump supposed to be on the other side so the bubbles go in from the bottom?? All the skimmers I have seen have it going in to the bottom intake. just curious. Gene

    It sounds like "cyano" to me. I agree with NJ_ychung1 controlling food and not overfeeding helps, also check your phosphates. You might choose to use a commercial algaecide from the LFS, but this only kills it temporarily. Also make sure you have a good cleaning crew that includes a gobie or...
