I actually got 100 lbs of rock (2 boxes) and I put almost all of it in the tank :)
I am running one MP40. Can't afford another now after everything else that I purchased.
Well today I plumbed the sump with the return pump, I have not plumbed the drain from the DT yet.
It looks like that there is alot going on....
Blue Line 50 piped into both the return section of the pump and the skimmer section (will only be used for water changes). All 1 inch plumbing with...
Tank: 75gal, have not decided on rimless or not.
I am also doing a build with a 75 (link below for my thread). I love the rimless, but rimless will also have an effect on what kind of lights that you get, because you normally don't put a canopy on the tank.
Lighting: still up in the air, kind...
ESV not hard to use... Just have to mix it just like any other, but you have to mix in the other supplements.. That salt mixes clean..
Why don't you take one gallon of ro and add 1/2 cup of salt to it. make sure it mixes, then test it...
You should read the container and it will give you directions on how much salt to add. Then you have to test the water and the either add more salt or RO to get to the right salinity. I use Reef Crystals right now and it calls for 1/2 cup for 1 gallon.
I am thinking of Switching to ESV if i...
Well I was looking for my peppermint shrimp tonight, because he looked messed up, he was completely clear. But about 10 mins later he turned back normal color.
But while I was watching. I notice that my clowns did "the dance". I was excited to catch it on video. My daughter will really enjoy...
I guess but that seems a little too much work. I was told that sand goes on top, but if you have anything that stirs the sand you would have to think that it is going to mix up.
That is the stuff that I looked into.
I looked into it, and I was told to put mud on the bottom and then a couple of inches of sand on top. I really do not want to have to pull all that out and replace it. Think of the mess that it will make. I Has to cloud up when you change it...
I did on the first hole, and forgot to move it on the second :). I was already drilling, should have stopped and moved it, but didn't, luckily nothing broke.

Well today I drilled the sump, went very easy and quickly with no problems. I drilled 2 holes which will be used for return pump (second hole used only for water changes).
Here is a pic of the sump with the baffles and then with the holes drilled. I also included next a video of...
That is very interesting! I am going to be making a custom mount for my AI's so I can adjust them in height. This can be something that I add on later! Very Cool.
