You wouldn't damage the fluke's tail by stepping on it to get the hook out. I've never seen a fluke injure itself from flopping around inside the box.

We've already upgraded and beat the rush. We had to get a new dish installed. We really don't have much that we watch religiously. As long as I can record lost in February I'm happy.

I think she's just a good liar and her boyfriend (commercial fisherman) netted the fish, gave it to her, and she claims to have caught it. She holds other records in NJ for saltwater fish..which is what brought many people to believe the fish was netted in the first place.

If post information from another source (other than your own experience) why not just quote the source, give credit where it belongs. I think that way this going back an fourth could have been advoided.

You could always try posting an ad on craigslist. maybe someone w/ a big freshwater tank will want him. I use craigslist for tons of things and generally get a good response.

Not sure where you're located but I'd contact local LFS to see if they'll take him. I wouldn't put him down. In our area Ocean Gallery, pets pets pets, and Animals and things will ususally take livestock.

Go bigger! I don't think you'll see much of a monthly cost increase between a 120 and a 210 other than salt (depending on how often you do water changes).

I'm sure it's not the store's fault it's more of the maintance company's issue. I'm going to bet that store aren't the only place where there are tanks with fish in these conditions. I'd bet a lot of money there are more people in the hobby with a tank full of stuff they shouldn't have...

Both come in gel forms you just need to look for them.
