Sorry i didn't update you but it didn't make it .It was a long fight but i guess it was just getting too stressed out and couldn't recover. RIP mid January
I picked up some 1/2" insulation foam and it is helping. I put some filter pad under the return pump.
I think I am getting backpressure in my drain line because every once in a while it sounds like a toilet bowl.
The fleg is going right into the water it actually is under water in the sump. Is...
I want to put some type of damper between my pumps in my sump and the glass so you don't hear the vibration as much.
Is there something that is safe.
would the silicone potholders be ok?
You can usually find some decent lps and leathers in in the $20 frag tank, It is next to the live rock.

great thanks
The sump tank is 12" tall
so I'll Make the baffles 9" to be safe in an over uner over config to the return
The skimmer will be on a stand also
Does that sound good
I am making a sump for my tank.
I am using a 10 gal tank witch is 10x20 footprint
I set it up with a skimmer section , bubbletrap to the return
My skimmer says it onle needs 4" of water.
Would it be better to make the baffle 4", make a platform for the skimmer, or split the difference
I am building a stand for my 20 tall but I need to fit a 10 gal sump underneath.
I want to have a front and side door with an opening in the pack for plumbing.
Do youthin 3/4" plywood would hold up to the weight. It will be 30" tall with the tank set into the top
I should start the build on a t5 canopy next week.
I am also looking to can the canister and set up an overflow and a 10 gal sump.
I Think it will make the tank look a lot better
i'm looking to build a canopy and using wood to trim the top of the tank so the canopy would be more stable when open. I am just worried about the tank busting open. There is a plastic trip on the perimeter now that goes to the inside to support a class top. The plastic is siloconed to the glass
