do you think I should lower the heater temp to make up for the return pump in the sump

mY TANK KEEPS JUMPING FROM 78 -85 DEG i DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO THE HEATER IS SET TO 76 DEG i HAVE A SINGLE 96 WATT PC ON TOP AND A SMALLER ON ON THE REFUGIUM. THEY COME ON AT ALTERNATING TIMES SO i DON'T KNOW IT THAT IS THE ISSUE. i KEEP THE GLASS TOP PROPPED OPEN. ANY IDEAS. tHANKS dAVE

Well I just set up my refugium with the over flow and I am having a noise issue with the overflow there is a lift pump on the over flow but it still gets that noisy air water suction noise any suggestion. Not sure what you need to knw to assist so fire away. Thanks

Looking to sray paint the back of my tank black when I move it this weekend. So that you don't see whats behind the glass. Is there a special type of paint? Or other color suggestions.
