Your not related to billy schweer are you? I'll def take the help, I have all the equipment picked out but as far as the piping I'm really lost and then someone said something about creating some valve to adjust the flow I'm lost lol I'll take any help I can get
Where would I add an ATO to my current layout? My main concern is a healthy tank, I guess it's a matter of opinion as far as sand or no sand I will have to do a bit of research on the topic so I can see what will best suit my needs
Yeah my tank is already set up, next time or if I do any big changes I'm def going with drilled as it is the best option. For the fuge I plan on adding some live rock and live sand to help with filtration & thank you for that thermos I'll def look up what my skimmer needs and play off that. Just...

So i'm picking up a 20g long tomorrow, the dimensions are 30"L x 13"W x 12"H. i want plan to go skimmer, fuge, return the skimmer will be 9" the fuge will be 12" and the return will be 7" with 3 baffles 12" high the middle one higher obviously (one inch apart) i will draw up a picture shortly so...
Ok so here's what Im about to order if you guys agree on it as you're more experienced than I, for an overflow I'm gonna go with the CPR CS90 as recommended by kschweer and for a return I'm going with the eheim 1260 skimmer still nwb 150. What do you guys think? I'm picking up a 20g long tank...
Yeah I don't have room for a 40g the inside of my tank won't fit that, I'm gonna pick up the tank Saturday. Dan would you mind sending me or just giving a brief description of your sump layout as far as dimensions and everything? It doesn't have to be to in depth if you don't have them handy
Would it be worth while to get a 30g tall for a sump? The dimensions are 30x12.5x22.75. I was looking for a long to have more room in each section but I guess it's the same as far as water volume. It's a good deal I'm just curious if a long would be better
Ok so I've looked into some overflows/returns and I came up with the following equipment. For an overflow I'll get a Eheim CPR CS150 (1600gph), for a return a eheim 1048 (158gph), and a the skimmer a reef octopus nwb150 (500gph). Will this be sufficient?
It is set up, it's reaching the end of the cycling so I want to make my sump and let it run for another week or two after completing the sump to add fish so unfortunately I can't drill it with the rock and water already in
Let me try again lol, I'm building a sump but my tank isn't drilled so I was told I need an overflow. I'm. It to sure about plumbing so I'm still a bit hazy, I'm looking to get a nwb150 skimmer but I'm not sure what else I need to build a sump since I haven't done to much research as far as...
