The tank is about 250g and the clam is 18 to 19 inches. Those are 5" clams that are under it. I sent my friend a link so he can come here to give some details.

Equipment are starting to show up at my door steps. :D I have another iwaki 20, t5 retro and my parabolic reflector coming in this week or the next..

This time around I don't want to run the tank and buy equipment as I go. I want to have everything setup when I get it going. Can you guys recommned a skimmer for this tank? I was thinking of a MRC - 1...I know that's over kill but I wouldn't run the skimmer all day/night long.

Once I get started building I'll start taking pictures. Right now all I'm doing is collecting equipment. I have a lot of things to buy. Hopefully I will be able to take advantage of the premium aquatics group buy. Now that I think about it...Did I post this in the right section?

Update. I just order a ocean motion 2 way, an Iwaki MD 20RLXT, and all the bulkheads.

I'm going to play with the closed loop and the return to see if I can hit enough spot that I will not have the need to add any powerheads (fingers crossed).

I used MS paint to draw it up. I was thinking of relocating the return to the side of the tank. When I first drew the plans up I was going by the AGA RR tanks that have the return coming out of the overflow box.

Thanks for the heads up about the scwd. Good thing I'm in the planning stage and I have not ordered any equipment. I will look into the wavysea and the ocean motion.
