Chad, how about a pet skunk instead? I'm being dead serious. They are legal here in Jersey. Of course they are descented. I did some research on them a while back, and they're supposed to make better pets than ferrets. ;D ;D ;D
Do the little featherdusters bother you, Joe?
I think certain wrasses may take them out, like a Radiant perhaps? Not sure. The CBB WILL take them out for sure. ;D
Hi Gecko, and WELCOME! Great to have you aboard. :) You must have been pretty sad/upset when you lost those fish during the transfer from the ich. I just updated to a bigger tank myself not all that long ago, and sure enough, shortly after everything was in the new tank I had a massive ich...
My tangs LOVE when I throw some caulerpa into the display. I don't want to jinx myself by saying it'll never take over my tank, but the way my guys and gals go for that stuff is totally unreal. I don't do it every day, just every once in a while, and only a little bit. :) The stuff grows like...
As much as I enjoy your webcams, Sandee, I'm afraid if I hooked one up, the things folks would see "most" of the time is either my rear end (cause I'm bent over looking at my tank), or my butt on the stool in front of the tank. :-X
:-[ :-[ Aaaw, thank you guys all so much for your kind words. I'm as red as a ripe tomato over here. You made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, and put a big smile on my face, too. :-*
Junk, when I had my 75, I also ran it with T5s only (6 X 54Watts Teklight fixture). I had an open canopy on...
I'm sorry, I won't even try and be gentle and tactful with this one: How can you possibly keep those fish in a 55? Even if it's temporary, and you're planning on putting them in a 125, that's still too small, especially for a Naso. They need room. And tons of it. As do the other fish you...
My tank is 24", and I (well....Alex and I) made 8 of 'em fit. :) But depending on what you want to keep, 6 may be plenty. :)
Mike, I don't know what you read, but I'm not running 14 bulbs here, lol. "Just" 8, with a total of 640 Watts over the 180. I don't think that's all that bad. ;)
LOL, Jon.
My bulbs are from front to back:
ATI Blue Plus
Giesemann Pure Actinic 03
ATI Aquablue Special
GE 6,500
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Aquablue Special
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Blue Plus
If I had only 6 bulbs, I'd use following combo:
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Aquablue Special
GE 6,500
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Aquablue...
Rob, you're a trip! I've gotta say here that I saw the Spanish Dancer, and it looked perfectly content and super happy on top of that enormous spongy rock. One very beautiful creature indeed. ;D
I'm gonna be another one of those "nay-sayers". Money talks. True. And I'm sure the "owner" won't even be maintaining this monster tank. I'm sure to him the setup and the fish are only "decoration" - nothing more. To me that's sad, because I actually care for my animals - fish and corals...
Jenn, I can't i.d. it, sorry. But if you're still uncertain as to what it is after looking at the provided links, I'd rather chuck it than take a chance. But that's just me. I'm a chicken. :-X
I agree 100%. And I'm by no means the "Tang Police". But a 72 is WAY too small for a Sohal, a fish that is almost hyperactive, and needs tons and tons of swimming room. Adding the hippo may most likely result in his untimely death.
I LOVE Aqua Oceans. Close to home, easy to get to, and I stop there at least once a week, even if only to yap with Steve. ;D
Oh, and Chad, Joe did NOT beat me to the Butterfly. He's all mine. ;)
