Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
As far as the weight is concerned, it's hard to say without seeing it first hand.
If you go perpendicular to the beams so your crossing multiple beams and NOT Parallel where you are on only 2 beams then you should be ok.
As far as the size of the pump. Are you going insump or external pump?
I just picked up a Vortech from BillyR and put it in my 58gallon Frag tank (in the works) and the flow is ridiculous. I'm gonna have to put it in my main tank because it's too nice for a coral tank.

Hey Bob, let us know...
I will be bringing the Ka Reactor Group Buy for anyone who doesn't pick up at Aquatic Obsessions in the next 3 days.
And hopfully bringing the AirWaterIce Group Buy if it comes by Friday.
Matt, how long do your returns run for if the power goes out?
I was only thinking to use them on the powerhead inside the tank just to keep the flow moving and the water surface rippling.
Also if you like the way yours is can you post a link or a name of the brand, make, and model.
Thanks.
It has something to do with the pumps having such a low wattage that the DC8 doesn't sense enough power being drawn to know to shut them off.
I heard someone say if you put them on an extension cord that it would work but I did that to no avail.
Has anyone tried one of these things on their tank?

Icecap sells the one for the Vortech for $150+. This thing is $80 and can power a whole computer for 20-60 minutes depending on how big your computer can be.
If you hook up a Korallia powerhead...
My power went out today/this morning. It was a squirel in the transformer. PSE&G came right out and fixed it in only a couple hours, thankfully.
If I had a larger system I would definitely look into a generator
Dan I have some bluestriped mushrooms but they are covered in featherdusters. If you feel like removing the feather dusters you can have it for $20.
Here's a picture.
I think that the feeding 3-4 times per day is a little ridiculous. I don't know anyone with Anthias that follow that rule.
I've had a Helfrich Fire fish for almost a year and I feed my fish once a day sometimes every other day.
As far as not breaking the bank Lyretail Anthias are pretty and...
Phil, my camera is at Aquatic Obsessions so I can't take pics right now.. I'll get it back tomorrow and snap a couple.
Jonathan, the ones at AO are about the same size and I think he has them for $24.
I have one in my reef and no one bothers him. Aquatic Obsessions has a couple in stock and I was thinking about adding another one because they are definetely a cool fish to watch, but they are so small that they go unnoticed to some people.
Up to 125gallon Aquarium 600gph flowrate.
Brand new/ Never used. Has slight hairline crack from shipping in an area that will not compromise the Overflow.
crack is on upper right.

Wendy,
It's actually good to publicize life goals. Besides getting support from friends and family, it actually propels you to do better because you don't want to fail infront of people who know what you're trying to accomplish.
I think you can do it. Good luck and congratulations.
