Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I think they'll open once they get used to the water... they are very hardy but they'll stay closed if they've been stressed/annoyed.
At least that's been my experience... just keep doing what your doing and they'll come around.
I also had a trigger jump.
I've read that they are proned to jumping.... Mine was a Sargassum.
He actually jumped twice but the first time I was near the tank... the second time I wasn't so lucky.
Bob,
I honestly think to get good growth you need to keep water conditions in the correct zones (proper Ph, Alk, Calcium, Mag, SG, etc...) IMO the light spectrum is just a small part of good growth.
That being said, I think the lower Kelvin bulbs 6500K and 10000K are better for growth.
Great job ... My next tank will have to be a room divider. This way you get double the realestate to place corals and it's like having 1 tank with 2 views.
My 30gallon seahorse tank has about an inch of medium grade sand.
My 120gallon reef has about 1 1/2" fine sand (hate it).
My fuge has about 3 inches of fine sand and I think I need to add more.
Harry, that sucks ... Sorry to here you had a bad experience with them.
I was gonna use them for a future custom tank but now I will most definitely not even attempt an estimate.
I'm pretty sure Rich is done. I would love to give it a try building sumps and frag tanks but I don't have the time right now... maybe i'll just order the acrylic and one day go to work.
My chemistry is off as well but my math is pretty good and my math says it's really expensive.
I would love to try a new salt but I'm not sure which is the route to go.

Check out the reviews on PA ... also check out the new Algae Free Double Kit. Really tempting.
But I guess I'll keep my Korallia's for now ..
John the two tanks i've seen they weren't that loud but then again I wasn't really trying to listen for that and I was only there for a short while.
The thing I like about the Sure flows is being able to program them with the aquacontroller..... 5min on 2min off, 10min on 3min off... that type...
Matt, just wanted to say thank you very much... if it wasn't for your info and knowledge I would have probably failed miserably at keeping my reidi pair.
The look happier than ever and if anyone is planning on doing a seahorse tank please contact Matt for information and let him hear your plans...
