Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Yea i though just letting it sit there wouldnt be good either. I will test out all three again today and get back to you.
As far as the next step im not really sure what to do right now. Wont a coctail shrimp restart the cycle if its already done? And with the fish food i heard it does help...
The live rock has been running in the system since Friday July 6th. I totally agree that i should wait a couple weeks before putting anything in. I tested PH tonight and its 0 too. Should I eventually see copepods?
Thanks for the quick response
Yesterday:
I’ve been keeping the temperature around 79-80. I’ve also been keeping the actinics on for 2-4 hours a day. Found another hitchhiker with a cone shaped shell. (really tiny) Salinity is also around 1.024. Ammonia seems to be 0.25. Should I be testing anything else? And should I add a...
Day 2:
My temp wasnt going higher than 76 with the lights on so I went out and got a 50 watt stealth heater. I also bought a filter bag so when I get come LR rubble I can easily take it out of the chamber. I added the live sand too. Salinity seems to be in the 1.024 area. I broke my first test...

Thanks for all the responses so far. I have been doing a lot of reading and i do understand the smaller the tank the more watching over it i will have. But it will be in my room and i dont want to go too big. I ended up purchasing a 12g aquapod and i dont plan on starting it until i do some more...
Yea im really glad i found this forum. I was thinking to just buy the tank, LR, and LS and then get that running while i research more on fish, coral, cleanup crew, etc
The tanks dimensions are 30"W X 19"H X 12"D. Thats not a bad idea either im just thinking of the expenses like lighting and maintanences i will have to do.
Yea i was trying to figure if i can use the 30g tank but its just going to be expensive for me. That was a good deal on the nanocube you sold. And as far as LR and LS goes, is it best to order online or are there any good stores around nj?
Thanks for the quick response and information. I know that i definately want fish and coral. Im just trying to figure out with a budget of around $200 would i be able to get all the equiptment and LR and LS for the 30 gallon? Because i found an aquapod for around 120 and i figure with LR and LS...
