If your tank water went milk white that means you had high Bacteria load in your system. It takes about seven days to clear up.

That is great if you are getting more skimming and it is darker. That means you are getting more crap out of your water that is what the bio Pellets do. It could take 4 - 8 weeks to fully mature. The Pellets will go from white to a light tan color

If they did they probably did not read the instructions. You need to rinse them with RO water before placing them in the tank first. I have also read that people crash there systems to and they never rinse them before hand.

My ORA Birdsnest grows like a weed since I raised my alkalinity from 7.2 KH to 9.5 KH. You could try to bring up your alkalinity if it is low. They also need Strontium and Trace Elements to grow.
