I do love rods food but ive stopped feeding it only on sundays.
I was getting bad spikes in phos and ammonia when i was feeding rods food. There is a alot of stuff in it and it was getting caught up in the rock work creating algea problems. Since i switched to hikira mysis and krills soaked in...
Bryan give it some time just let them open up some more and take a better pic. They look nice so far.
Zoas fromy my expeirence can look completely different after two weeks in the tank. I almost it a brick when i saw the purple hornet polyp BLAH. Two weeks later im very impressed with it.
any pics merv?
Oddly a couple of the outer polyps are yellow from i guess touching the zoas. Its looks like the zoas are receding and the porties is spreading.
New Tank What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If your tanks are older you might have live mysis in ur tank.

I hope not i may keep fragging the zoas back to give the porties more room. It almost looks like the hulk montipora but more uniform in the space between poyps and its flat and it plates.
I think there may have been a christmas tree worm in the middle of porties.
Yesterday while shopping at the retailer that remains nameless i picked up an awsome rock with two different zoas and a porties.
It reminded me of Dr.Macs peices of the reef so i purchased it and here it is.
GregW give those hornets about two weeks and they will show some awsome colors.
Here is a size comparison of frags the purple hornet and the tubs and the tubs colony.
