    Tattoos?

Phyl, I agree with you. I just stared at that picture forever, and it does look to be around the knee. ??? Bill, I'm planning a Ruby Throated Hummingbird design. Two Hummingbirds feeding on flowers. I want them life-sized, too. It'll be going on my back/shoulder blade. BUT - it's only in the...

    New Frag

Super cute pups. I can't wait til next year, when we'll be in the market for another. :) ReeferNets, are those German Shorthair Pointers? Awesome looking! Do you hunt with them? --- Wendy

It has arrived.............. OMG, this is scary

JR, I got it at Home Depot. You buy it by the foot. My liner was 15' wide, and I bought 3' of it, then cut it to desired size. --- Wendy

It has arrived.............. OMG, this is scary

Thanks so much Erna and JR. :) Ironhorse, we did use PVC on the "Quiet" One. This time we used some SpaFlex. You could be right about that had we used SpaFlex for the original pump, that perhaps it would have been quieter. But it would have still been way too loud for our comfort. --- Wendy

It has arrived.............. OMG, this is scary

Thanks Bax, yes, I have no regrets with the new pump. As a matter of fact, Alex finished all the new plumbing. NO leaks! ;D Everything's working like a charm. As soon as I get my camera back I'll take some pictures. Thank you all for your continued support. :) --- Wendy

    Tattoos?

AWESOME tat, Bill. I'm already planning my second. ;D Mike, you can hardly see my tattoo right now because of the same reason. I can't shave it until it's completely healed. So right now it looks like I have some flaking stuff under a bush of hair. :-[ Anyway, here's mine - shortly after I...

It has arrived.............. OMG, this is scary

Thanks, Mike. Well, so far today Alex has torn out the old manifold, made his first run to Home Depot, came back with a bag of "goodies", laid everything out, figured out what he was missing, and is now on his way to Lowe's. We also did a test run on the new Iwaki pump, and are thrilled at how...

    When things go wrong.....please help

Thanks so much, JR. :) Well, Alex came back with lots of new stuff, laid everything out, wrote down what he was missing, and is now making his second trip. On a good note, we did a test run on the new pump, and we are thrilled at how quiet it is. --- Wendy

    When things go wrong.....please help

Thank you so much. :) The "love bite" is fine. If he ever tries that again with me, I won't guarantee that he'll be fine though. (Not that I would ever hurt him...but boy was it hard maintaining myself right after I got him off my face.) --- Wendy

    When things go wrong.....please help

:o Thanks, Stan. I'm gonna end up having a stroke over this plumbing thing. I don't think Alex wants to return the pump. He already removed the entire old manifold, and is making a list and drawing of things he'll need. We will basically make the same design, with the pump going to each...

    When things go wrong.....please help

Sorry I haven't replied last night, but I was wiped out. Alex came back around 8PM, showed me the new pump, ate dinner, showered, and called it a night. We'll start everything from scratch - probably this morning. BTW, I have a Perfecto, and I don't think their overflows are quite the same as...

    When things go wrong.....please help

Here's a picture. Anyone has a stud I can put through there? ::) It's bleeding inside and outside. Crazy bird! ---- Wendy PS. Alex still hasn't made it to the place. He's stuck in traffic.

    When things go wrong.....please help

Thanks so much, John. I just learned an invaluable lesson. DO NOT attempt to clean your Amazon's cage when you're aggrevated. I just finished with the cage, and Quincy, my male, bit THROUGH my upper lip. He did a Kamekaze on me. It was totally unexpected. ...and it's bleeding like crazy. >:(...

    When things go wrong.....please help

Thanks a million Phyl @ John. (Can't even put that smiley face at the end of the sentence because the way I feel...) Phyl, is it at all possible to pick up the pump and heater another day? Because I still have to do the birds and make dinner. Tomorrow we're gonna be at a concert. Would Thursday...

It has arrived.............. OMG, this is scary

LOL Tony. Thank you. You are so sweet. Mike, congrats on your upgrade. You'll be loving that extra room. Well, unfortunately my update is a sad and frustrating one. Alex finished the plumbing today, and while I was out and about to get 4' more spa-flex, he did a test run. When I came back...

    When things go wrong.....please help

Thanks for the quick response. I've been doing as much speed reading as I could in such little time, and made some phone calls, too. I found an Iwaki MD-100RLT-115 at the Hidden Reef (they don't have the 70-series), and my dear Alex is already on his way over there. We will have to redo...

    When things go wrong.....please help

We finished the plumbing and did a test run today. No good. Not only do we have numerous leaks, despite ever so careful priming and gluing, but my return pump (Quiet One 9000) has to go. It's FAR from quiet. There is no way we're keeping that thing with that noise. So here comes my question...

Mike, we used All-Glass silicone for this one. --- Wendy

It has arrived.............. OMG, this is scary

It's not free-floating, no. We already attached it via wood to the back (staples), but can't do the front until we're done with the plumbing, and put the beam back in place so we can frame it there. --- Wendy
