It has arrived.............. OMG, this is scary

Yep, you're right on Ironhorse. :) I actually wasn't planning on using my pump as an external one, but once I saw how big it was I wanted it outside, so that I would have much more space for the refugium. --- Wendy

It has arrived.............. OMG, this is scary

Thanks, Jim. :) Alex took yesterday off and helped me put the sump in the stand, and he started with the plumbing. By mid afternoon he'd had enough. This is how far he got: Sump ... tight fit Plumbing By 3PM he had gotten this far. He also put the fans into the hood. It looks like this...

Wow Joe, awesome pictures. Thanks so much for sharing. LOVE LOVE LOVE your dogs. The picture of the pup cuddling by his new buddy made me teary-eyed because I have pictures like that, too. (But the older guys are no longer with us...) Now, how about you show me some of your ink? ;D Pretty...

It has arrived.............. OMG, this is scary

Thank you all a bunch. :) Sorry, I have no pictures right now, but I did purchase the rest of the plumbing supplies yesterday along with a pond liner that'll go in the cabinet before I put the sump in. JUST in case there's ever an accident. Once the liner's in place we'll do the manifold (is...

It has arrived.............. OMG, this is scary

Thanks Joe. I'd LOVE to see some pictures of your tats. What kind of birds? See, now you got me all roused up. ;D Greg, what's next? Not the hairdo you suggested (even though that sounds kind of tempting...lol), but I'm already planning my second tattoo. I guess I'm in a mid-life crisis. :-X...

It has arrived.............. OMG, this is scary

Thanks a million Mike, Phyl, and Ironhorse. :) Before I answer Ironhorse's questions, I want to share something with you all. Today I received my very first tattoo. This is something I've been wanting to do for years, but was always extremely hesitant, especially since Alex was dead-set...

It has arrived.............. OMG, this is scary

Thanks all. :) Ironhorse, I'm leaving about 2" by the wall, so it'll be easier to guide electrical outlets. I'm still a novice, too, I've only been in the hobby for a little over a year, so I'm bound to make mistakes. :-[ I was/am extremely fortunate with my 75 gallon. I built it from scratch...

It has arrived.............. OMG, this is scary

Mark, our youngest, bailed out on me, deciding he'd rather spend time with his GF (who's leaving for college on Saturday) than to help move the tank. >:( So it was left up to Mike and Alex alone. They both agreed they didn't "want" my help. :-X Even though Alex' back is feeling pretty sore...

It has arrived.............. OMG, this is scary

LOL. The tank you see is gonna be my sump. I have to pick up the bulkhead for my return pump and then go and have the tank drilled. :-\ Once it's drilled I'll be putting up the baffles and such. So far only baby steps, but I'll get there --- eventually. --- Wendy PS. I didn't know Simon...

It has arrived.............. OMG, this is scary

Yay, I finished the platform today and put it in its place. Stand, tank and canopy will go on next. But I'll have to wait until both boys are home. There's no way Alex and I are gonna be carrying the tank ourselves. ::) --- Wendy

    Conversion to 180g

Your tank looks outrages, Phyl and John. You ought to be so proud. Hopefully I'll get some nice coralline growth once my new one is up and running. That is all Marco Rock, right? Unbelievable how quickly it colored up like that. WOW! --- Wendy

It has arrived.............. OMG, this is scary

Thanks guys. You are all so super supportive. I love it. Mike, I wish you could have been here when Alex and Mike moved the 75 over to the window. I had ....what shall I call it...the "runs" for the remainder of the day. That's how much the excitement got to my stomach. :-[ I can't wait to have...

    Need help identifying this coral

FWIW, I freshwater dipped a frogspawn I had once after suddenly losing 2 heads on it. Within 48 hours after the FW dip the frogspawn began to look better and within a month it completely recovered from whatever ailment it had. There's a long, detailed discussion about FW dips on RC somewhere...
