Tried making the hoses longer to submerge them quite a bit and now I'm just getting giant air bubbles and splashing everywhere.. Ughhh... I dunno what to do now. I don't wanna order mesh socks bc ppl r saying they don't pick up as much debris as the felt ones but my felt socks clog too quickly...
Well no there's no noise from the durso, its just the gurgling noise going into the socks. And I don't think its overpowering. Its the same pump and almost the same setup. Its just 1 drain is on the left and one is on the right now instead of them both going into the same sock. I even had to...
I hear ya. I wanna at least try the mesh socks. Think it'd be kinda silly to not use the space that was built for socks. Hopefully it works out.
Turned my tank on this morning around 8:30am and came home around 5:30pm and both socks were already overflowing.
Don't run socks?? After I had a custom sump made FOR socks? Lol maybe I'll consider it if I can't figure something out but its definitely not gonna be my first choice. Plus I wanted to do socks bc I had a hard time keeping the tank clear
I had the tank running for about an hour and a half last night and I noticed the one filter sock started to overflow already. I took it out but it was clean. Not sure why they're overflowing so quickly. Do you think by changing to a 7" sock would make a difference?
Its hard plumbed in :/ someone said to mess with the durso pipes maybe.
I managed to get the one side to be slightly quiet, now its just the left side.
Anyone have any ideas on how to my drains less noisy? Right now I have the ends of the hose going into the water and its still making a gurgling noise? Maybe raise the water level in the sump a little more?
Well I thought I fixed the leak by applying some more cement. Had the tank running for about 5 mins with no signs of a leak. Then I inspected closer and the tiniest bit of water is coming from that same spot.
I've given it some thought and I may redo the manifold anyways. I messed up on one of...
I can't wait to have my fuge running. Its gonna be a lil nano in my sump. Gonna have a deep sand bed and multiple algaes in there. I'll prune em as time goes on.
Yeah I did everything you guys are saying, I always do. I've done many plumbing jobs on my tanks before and I've never had this many problems before :( I may have to wind up redoing the manifold which I'm not looking forward to but if it means a lock tight system, I may not have any other choice.
Well i fixed the elbow issue. Then I had a bulkhead issue, redid that. Now I have ANOTHER issue. Its leaking ever so slowly at the beginning of my manifold. Its so slow that i didn't notice it until I completely filled the tank up.
I turned the system off, let it sit for awhile, dried it off...
