Most get mollies to take care of hair algae- not sure if any one type is better for it- but there are some cool colors/varieties- one could actually do a tank of them with corals I think

I bought an orange fresh water molly a week ago, took 24 hrs to acclimate it to salt. It eats fine- frozen, flakes and started picking at film algae on the back wall, no interest in hair algae, but it does hang out with the canary blenny at times\

You can have more than one Springer in a tank, but should be added at the same time- I tried to add a second one after a few months and it did not go nicely :)
