On my way home with a frag that my gf and some lady were fighting over at thast fish place. I just wanted to know if anyone has heard of kristens pinks zoas. We just bought a frag at that fish place and were on our way home with it now
Went home at lunch today and now there is a total of 7 polyps extended.
When i first bought it only 1 was extened and another was receding. I think the coral may make a recovery.
One problem i see is that the middle of the coral has no skin on it whatsoever. It is a stony calcifield skeleton.
Most RBTAs or GBTA ball up like you describe.
It has nothing to do with eating, more likely to do with the the clown harrsing the anemone.
They ball up to protect their tentacles and mouth area. Next time my RBTA does it i will take pics...
I am wondering what the odds of this coral making a full recovery area.. In all the the circuled areas I notice since I put it in my tank the polyp craters seems like are filling with yellow tissue
this came from a fulled cured tank of lr. Its a frag that i guess that thought was dead and and threw it into the tank. I even said to the guy it looked like a frag he said yea probably.
I have a 1.5 year old tank with LR in it. i just bought this to fill in holes.
I took some pics with my fathers Slr.
Two of the clown and the identify me.
I got some nano live rock at Absolutely Fush. I brough home the rock and notice that one looked like a frag. I put it in the about 20 min later it had polyp extension.
What is this the coral and how can i help it?
I have noticed that nems coming from stores need perfect water condition. I have had GBTA and RBTA go from PC to MH and be fine. Store bought specimins go through hell.
All of my nems are aquaculture from splits.. Also im affraid to ask how much u payed.
Dont touch it leave it alone. Feeding...
From the Site of your sand it looks like you dont have enough flow in the tank or you have extra nutrients. You need to cut back lighting or feeding and improve the flow in the tank.
Also how old is this tank and where did u get the RBTA? Was it from a store or fellow reefer.
maybe you need some snails wink wink... Brian I might need some cheato soon. I am going to be ordering a new mini canister filter for my tank and want to build a small crate out of the star board you gave me to hold some macro in the tank...
Thanks to Aquatic Obsessions for this amazing pair. They hosted immediately and are eating like pigs. The male is shwoing signs of submission and the female went to immediately clean the area of snails and rocks she didnt like.
Reef Drumz thanks for the starboard too...
Enjoy the ok pics i...
