I have this sponge that looks like tree roots, it used to be in the DT and I was able to get rid of it, now it's in the sump, was all over my graciallis, so it took it out and exposed it to air which is sup[posed to kill sponges- didn't happen, is there anything that eats sponges or a way to kill it
I've read that scissors are better, but I'm asking weather I should frag the thicker ones in the middle or the thinner ones around the outside- I don't want ot make it go into some sort of shock or look bad
I have a green nepthia that's doing great and want to frag it- there are a couple of 'arms' that are thicker in the middle and a bunch of smaller ones ( pencil thickness) on the sides- what's the best way to frag it
I glued 2 pinky size strips of gsp to the end wall of my 75g nine months ago, it is now covered and I have free strips for anyone interested I'm in Chester
I'd like to test it out, but not going to take the chance. I'm either lucky or have things in my tank that keep it clean- found a couple of bubble algae once took the rock out and scraped it, have a couple of pitho crabs and possibly an emerald- haven't seen it in about a month, found some...
I also have a bicolor that doesn't touch algae but eats frozen and flakes. My Molly Millers do eat algae- one loves it when I use the razor to scrape the front glass- follows it to gobble up the scrapings- I've read that they eat bubble algae too- but I don't have any in that tank
I have 96 hr heat packs:)- Phyto could be mailed without a heat pack- just some good insulation so it doesn't freeze- the chaeto would need heat though- I also have some graciallis :)
I have plenty of chaeto if you ever want any, I also recommend adding pods if you don't have them. I would never starve my fish- better to feed the corals less
