The rubble rock I put into the back chamber is out of my sump but the main piece of rock was bought at Aquarium Center. Its "Reef Ready" rock that was in their tank.
So using water out of my 150, rubble from there and also a RR rock won't do anything? Why is it that when setting up a QT tank, alls I gotta do is swap over a filter pad and I'm good to go?
Well that's why I added rubble from my sump of my 150. That's been in there for 6+ months so its gonna have some bacteria on it. I'm in no rush so I'll check it again in a few days and see where I'm at. If its not doing anything by then, I'll put a shrimp in there or something
One more water change and I should have all the sand out of the tank. Haven't seen my coris wrasse in a few days so I'm hoping he's under there Lol
I can't wait to get this tank all cleaned up, its so ugly right now bc I've obviously been neglecting it since I'm breaking it down. So much hair...
Well I know its early on but last night I added 5-6 small pieces of LR from my 150 in the chamber to help seed the tank. No results as of yet, ammo and nitrite are still 0ppm while my nitrates are at 2.5ppm. Salinity 1.025.
Yeah I got that feeling lol well hopefully I can get em to host something. Never had a true host so that would be cool.... Actually no I'm lying. My old clown hosted my flower pot coral once but he killed it lol
Obviously its way too new. I already said it wasn't gonna have one for awhile. Way to dampen the mood Lol jk... and that's disheartening :/ thanks for crushing my dreams!
Yeah, I was talking to Rob and we were saying how funny it is to do 1g weekly water changes when I'm used to doing 30g weekly water changes Lol so weird.
Yeah it won't be awhile before I add a BTA probably. Not even sure if my light will be enough yet. That's a good idea for doing hypo. Won't take much since its only like 7g total lol
I have the dc9000 model on my 150 for almost 8 months now. No problems, no cracks, completely silent. I love it. I believe I have mine set up for 3/4" flex PVC too.
