Haha yeah I was just looking thru my phone, don't have any updated pics. I can take one tomorrow when the lights come back on. Its looks almost bleached a lil bit and at one point was receiting from the base but then stopped.
So Ive had this Red Planet colony for awhile and when I first bought it, it was doing well. Good polyp extension, good solid red color. Well over time it started to lighten up and not as good polyp extension. Any ideas? Here's a pic of when I first got it.
+1 that's what I was getting at. The only dry side part is just a magnet. Unless you mean the controller? These tend to get cruddy really fast. When was the last time you cleaned it? I'd try that and see what happens
Yeah but I've used GFO before and still had algae. I mean I guess I could always try it again and see what happens. I just don't wanna keep spending money on different things and have them not work, its getting too expensive
I'm not running GFO! Lol I stopped that and switched to biopellets. Then I stopped that and switched to phosguard pellets. And I haven't bought anything! Lol
Thanks. Yeah it hasn't moved at all since my last WC. Weird.
I still don't get how my phosphates are reading 0.00ppm but I have a crazy amount of hair algae?? Ready to throw out all my rock lol
I may just get rid of them to be honest. Like I said I'm gonna retest tonight but im pretty sure my phosphates are reading 0ppm. And if that's the case then the rocks are the source I'm assuming
And I'm also starting to get hair algae which is weird bc my phosphates were reading 0.00ppm last time I checked. I'm gonna retest everything when I get home and do another water change but this is ridiculous
