Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
The holes for bulkheads are always 1/4" larger to compensate for the part of the bulkhead that has to go through the hole. The hole in the bulkhead itself takes 1" PVC.
If you have 2 down lines from the tank I'd do 2 of these, or you can just do 1 and run only 1 sock...
Or, if you have a...
Agree with Diana. Hit or miss. I had a couple good orders then received an order that was practically empty, maybe 30 live pods, if that. No reply from customer service so I opened a PayPal dispute which they fought and won. So I ended up with pods that cost about $2.50 each.
If you don't want to buy a big thing of kalk and no-one around you has any to scoot your way, I've had success with Aptasia-X, nuclear waste, and dipping directly into the sun (50/50).
Beautiful setup. I've said it before and will again, the aesthetics of these tanks are beautiful, then we add water and livestock and it all goes to ^&*%.
Buy plastic fish on lexan rods and put them in tank , you can move them around every morning.
Lookin good. Watch the cleaner shrimp as well, he may be the culprit and the blenny may be opportunistic eating.
I was losing my hammers and couldn't figure it out. Looked in the tank one day and saw this...

I noticed some lesions on tang, 2 on port side, 1 on starboard.
The best description I can give is they look like peeled sunburn, when you have that little bit of dead skin around the area that peeled off.
They're all in circular form.

SoaB! That's what started this thread. I have this system in my main an LOVE it.
When I went looking at their ATO section, this wasn't listed as a main ATO, just the 'new improved' version with the float system, etc...
Didn't realize they downgraded it and buried it a bit down the page, making...
When you get back on your feet drop a post. I'm sure that when the time comes there'll be plenty of coral, fish, and equipment donations to the cause. For now, relax and recover. :)
Specifically looking for a Tunze 9004 DOC but will consider similar. Anyone got one laying around?
I can do cash, or trade (have a ton of stuff I'm organizing atm), or can make you a sandwich.
Nope. It did break.
I thought the glass near it was from the book case.
I zoomed way in in Photoshop and it appears the front panel is, in fact, busted.
Ignore me.
Old tanks suck.
J - Yeah, agree on the Tunze. I recall having the large one many years ago and it worked fine in a 120. I think I them picked up the smaller one for a 40b and had 2 overflows.
Salt/Rap - think I'm leaning towards more mechanical than sensor atm.
Sub/Curt - I like that, especially as it looks so...
So, I have an Icecap that works OK and I was looking to put it on the new tank, but, as the tank is an AIO I'd have to cut the black back coating to allow the visual sensor to communicate between the in-tank and out-tank parts. But, I'm concerned that, even if I do this, the sensor itself will...
