Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
This showed up on the bottom of the tank. Right now it's the siZe of a zoa polyp but it was smaller when I first noticed it. From what I can see it kind of like an acan. I have not added any coral for a while nor did I add any live rock. I have added a few emerald crabs. It's quite pretty and...
These are great rocks I originally got it from SPotter. Very porous and not very common. Easy to stack.
Taped area is 48"x24".
Does not leach anything. I have it lightly itched.
I am planning to completely rescape the tank with new rocks. This will involve removing all existing rocks and corals the put in new rocks and glue some of the corals back. Some of the existing rocks will go into the frag tank if there are corals on them. Will move some corals at a later time...
So I have some dry Tonga branches coming and pondering what to do with them. I do not need the rocks cycled. Just need to remove the PO4 and other unwanted stuff from the rocks. So what is the modus operandi? Do I do all three? I also want to dry the rocks after the process and epoxy them together.
Stumble across this pump as I look for a return pump for my basement sump.
The chart says about 900 gph @10' head yet it only consumes 33.6W.
Can you confirm this and also do you recommend this for pressure use?
For the card-carrying members only, before I post it on MR. Have this fish for 2 years. It never got sick also I have not added any fish for 3 months.
Please take him only if you have a 6' tank. If it's a 4' tank then he must be the only larger fish in the tank. I love this fish but he does...
I current use IO and very happy with the performance in general and the parameters are quite stable from batch to batch. I use a 29 gal tank to mix and it usually last two weeks with about 5g left in the mixing tank then I fill up the tank and mix the next batch.
IO has the following...
What happens if you use a skimmer that's too large for the system? Will it stop skimming or just skim too much? Or hard to dial in properly?
Thinking about upgrading but quite confused about the hundreds of skimmers out there.
For Example:
RO Elite 200INT:
- 400 Gallon – Light Filtration...
Went to HD didn't find the regular bleach so I bought this:
https://www.clorox.com/products/clorox-germicidal-bleach-concentrated/
Is this safe for Reefing use? The ingredients seems to be ok.

As title says want to add some protection to inside of cabinet, what paint do you use? This is a bathroom base laminated (cheaply) particle board. Thanks.
I had this fish since the beginning but he has been very aggressive to the newcomers. So I have to remove him to the sump. He is basically fine during the day but when it's time for bed he does not allow other fish in the rock work. (There are two separate rock piles). Is the tank too small for...
No he is not eating GHA yet but he is eating frozen on day 3. Very surprise he learned so quick to chase down floating food. The foxface is much more timid hiding in the rocks.
I never hatched brine shrimp before so I tried the first time 2 days ago. I used 2/3 tank water and 1/3 RO. What surprised me was that the hatched brine shrimps are tiny compare to the big lives one from LFS. Are there two different kind of brines or the one from the store are grown adults?
